Boycott the presence of Guillermo Vargas Habacuc at the Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008

habacuc2.jpghabacuc1.jpghabacuc.jpg

This is a very serious matter…

In 2007, the ‘artist’ Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death.

For several days, the ‘artist’ and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful ‘masterpiece’ based on the dog’s agony, until eventually he died.

Does it look like art to you?

But this is not all… the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the ‘installation’ was actually art, so that Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008.

PLEASE HELP STOP HIM.

http://www.petitiononline.com/ea6gk/petition.html

It’s free of charge, there is no need to register, and it will only take 1 minute to save the life of an innocent creature.

Thank you for your time.

Maybe we should tie the artist up, starve the artist and let him feel what the poor dog felt. I’m sure this would make a great exhibition…this could be a lesson to all who feel this is art???? Whatever happened to treating pets with kindness and love…Aren’t they a part of a family too!!!!!!!
This is inexcusable and very hurtful to animal lovers…

Excuse my language but there is only one word to describe this man- jackass. To call this art is absurd. More odd to me are the people who view his “art” and stand idly by watching a living creature suffer. There is a special place in hell for them as well.

Sick, Sick, Sick, Cruel and inhumane, Cruel and inhumane.
I would never pass by a starving dog -ever!
This makes my blood pressure go up, I can feel it, and the nausea
in my throat seeing this helpless animal used as “art”

How long before we tie up children or HIV/AIDs patients while we stand by and sip our
martini’s while watching them die? Oh wait, doesn’t this happen to political prisoners around the world…… Oh wait, why don’t we sip martini’s and watch water-boarding at Guantanamo?
Outrage…….. we should be more than outraged……. we need to do better……

People, this is not real! It’s a Hoax.

The dog was a street dog, that’s why it was so skinny. The Artist did feed him and the dog didn’t die. It escaped the day after.

(haven’t own a dog never before? A starving dog would destroy the rope with his teeth.)

And everybody critics the artist… what about the gallery visitors? Don’t you think if this story was true, somebody would helped to free the dog and feed him.

So, don’t continue spreading this annoying hoax

Luis Grande, I would like to expose you naked, in a room.
I wouldnt let you eat for a week, and I would like to see if you have the strength to cut that rope with your teeth.

Stupid Dumb, dont try to hide the reality of this case, this is not good, but there is a God!
And you are nobody to decide who lives and who dies.

When you approach the dog in the street, the reaction in 99,9% cases is that the dog swings his/her tail…That’s what probably happened in this case – he was helplessly giving signs that he hurts, that he is thirsty and hungry while the “art connoiseurs” came in and looked at him as if he was a piece of plastic or wood…There is nothing HUMAN in vast majority of humans, this word needs serious revision. To “artist” Guillermo I wish eternal Hell and vivid memory of a lonely and sad eyes of one earthling, one God’s creature that didn’t hurt anybody, but because of him had died …for nothing. For scum like this I wish I am ashamed for being a human being…Draw or sculpt something – that’s how you show your talent, not by exposing your pervert mind through exeperiments on innocent creatures…I want you dead man, I mean it

Thanks to administrators for letting me express my opinion. My comment was deleted entirely even though it wasn’t any more aggressive then the other ones. Whose side are you on?

We should be glad he was not bringing attention to starving children. He would have tied a baby to the wall and watch it starve to death to raise awareness.
