The Top-Five Online Art Videos of 2007 and some news

My “Because Washington Is Hollywood For Ugly People” video is chosen by Rachel Wolff of New York Magazine as the top art video of 2007. Here’s what she said:

Kenneth Tin-Kin Hung’s satirical animation was one of the most-talked-about works in Postermasters’ summer group show, “Not Your Parents MTV. Given Hung’s psychedelic palette, and the use of familiar faces, politically potent imagery (a Bush-headed Jennifer Aniston, an Obama-headed Borat, Big Macs, Yodas, Saddam on a skateboard, Osama on the cross), low-tech animation, and a biting slam-poetry soundtrack (plus background music courtesy of M.C. Paul Barman), it’s no wonder why.

Thank You So Much! Also Big Congratulations to my friend Marisa Olson, her 96-00-04-08 is also in the lists too!

Also some other news:

My works are traveling with Postmasters Gallery to the following art fairs this Fall/ Winter:

ARTissima at Torino, Italy

PULSE at Miami, U.S.A.

The Armory Show at New York, U.S.A.

The same video will be part of the NEW MUSEUM “MONTAGE: UNMONUMENTAL ONLINE.” exhibition. The official dates of the show are February 15 – April 6, 2008.

I am working on a solo show coming in April 2008 for Postmasters. Also a solo retrospectives show in September 2008 at Berkeley Art Museum.
